France Gall was one of the central figures of the 1960s yé-yé pop movement. Baby Pop is among her most important records and a milestone for the entire scene, hinting at where yé-yé was headed much as Revolver and Pet Sounds did elsewhere. More mature and varied than her earlier releases, it pairs the impossibly infectious title track with the Gainsbourg-penned "Nous Ne Sommes Pas Des Anges" and the groovy "Faut-Il Que Je T'Aime." This is the first-ever US edition, pressed on 180-gram mono vinyl by Third Man Records.
