While the band lived and worked at Rubin's studio mansion, a fire broke out, costing them their gear, some demos and nearly their lives — a burnt guitar pulled from the debris adorns the cover. Inspired by The Velvet Underground, The Stooges and Can, the album spins tales of passion and loss over fluid, hypnotic rhythms.
