For a one-hour 1957 CBS broadcast, 32 towering jazz musicians of the swing era — Count Basie, Lester Young, Ben Webster, Billie Holiday, Coleman Hawkins and more — gathered for the jam session to end all jam sessions. Originally issued as Columbia CL 1098 in 1958, the album was mastered from the original analog tapes by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound.
