Joined by his working trio of bassist Tony Scherr and drummer Kenny Wollesen, plus pedal-steel master Greg Leisz, he reinterprets music by Pete Seeger, the Byrds, Junior Wells, Dick Dale, the Ventures, Chet Atkins, Merle Travis and others, with a few originals sprinkled in. It is a rare and affectionate look into Frisell's formative influences.
