Blow-Up is Herbie Hancock's soundtrack to Michelangelo Antonioni's 1966 film, originally released on MGM Records. The sessions feature an all-star cast including Freddie Hubbard, Joe Newman, Phil Woods, Joe Henderson, Jim Hall, Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette, plus the Yardbirds (with Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page) on "Stroll On." The bassline to "Bring Down the Birds" was later sampled by Deee-Lite for their 1990 hit "Groove Is in the Heart."
