Released in 1972, Blue Öyster Cult's eponymous debut failed to garner much initial interest but is now considered a must-have classic. This psychedelic hard rock album, with its striking cover art, features "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll," "Stairway to the Stars," and "Then Came the Last Days of May" — all of which the band still plays regularly. They toured with The Byrds, Alice Cooper, and the Mahavishnu Orchestra in support of the record.
