Catholic Boy is the 1980 debut album by The Jim Carroll Band, fronted by poet and Basketball Diaries author Jim Carroll. With backing from a lean, guitar-driven band — and a recording deal helped along by the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards — Carroll delivered a record often hailed as one of the last great punk albums. It's home to his enduring anthem "People Who Died."
