For Dancing in Quiet Light is pedal steel guitarist Luke Schneider's Leaving Records debut, refining his singular ambient vocabulary into something gentle, resonant and quietly radiant. Inspired by the intersection of breath and movement — and by Lou Reed's tai chi soundtrack Hudson River Wind Meditations — these long-form pieces were performed entirely on Emmons "push/pull" pedal steel guitar. The result is a delicate companion for both physical motion and inner stillness.
