To kick off Ace Records' 50th anniversary comes a 2-LP version of one of the most seminal and important heavy metal albums of all time. Funded by and released on Chiswick Records in 1977, Motorhead's debut was a sonic blister capturing the musical lightning generated by Lemmy, Phil Taylor and Eddie Clarke. Beyond the classic first album, sides three and four collect "City Kids," the Beer Drinkers EP and different and alternative mixes of ear-bleeding classics. The cover features a silver hot-foil replica of Joe Petagno's original Motorhead logo, with sleeve notes by Ted Carroll telling the story of how Chiswick scraped together the money to fund the recording.
