Olatuja is a band, a project and an album full of the uplifting, joyful music of the African diaspora. Bassist Michael 'Leye' Olatuja and vocalist Alicia 'Lisa' Olatuja, who first met as students at Manhattan School of Music, lead an A-list cast including drummers Obed Calvaire and Joshua Keitt, guitarists Femi Temowo and David Rosenthal, percussionist Magatte Sow and pianist Christian Sands. The result is at once cinematic in scope and intimate in its message of trust, joy and honest communication.
