Mostly instrumental, Moving Day captures André 3000 at a pivotal moment. Before New Blue Sun was recorded, filmmaker Dexter Navy filmed André in Venice Beach, California on the day he was moving out of his home. The score weaves together field recordings from that day, an impromptu Q&A, and studio recordings performed forward then backward while watching the film. The closing track "Tunnels of Egypt" is a previously unreleased recording from the New Blue Sun sessions.
