Bobby Hutcherson - Dialogue - Tone Poet LP
180g Vinyl LP — Tone Poet Audiophile Reissue, Mastered by Kevin Gray
The arresting 1965 session Dialogue was the debut album as a leader by vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, who had already proven himself a versatile sideman on classic Blue Note dates from Grant Green's Idle Moments to Eric Dolphy's Out to Lunch. Here he showcases his more adventurous leanings with a state-of-the-art sextet featuring Freddie Hubbard on trumpet, Sam Rivers on reeds, Andrew Hill on piano, Richard Davis on bass and Joe Chambers on drums, performing distinctive compositions by Hill and Chambers. This Tone Poet edition was mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI.
