Saxophonist Cory Weeds recorded Dig Weeds! for Kevin Gray's Cohearent Records, cut all-analog and all-tube at Gray's Cohearent Recording studio in the throwback style of the early 1950s—musicians together in one room, minimal microphones, no editing, mixed in real time. Weeds is joined by pianist David Hazeltine, bassist Neal Miner, and drummer Byron "Wookie" Landham, with Hazeltine contributing a stunning arrangement of "Deep in a Dream" and co-writing "Everything's Coming Up Weeds."
