50th Anniversary Limited Edition Picture Disc LP — Half-Speed Mastered by John Webber at AIR Studios
March 7, 2025 marked the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's ninth studio album, Young Americans. Embracing what he called "Plastic Soul," Bowie cut much of it at Philadelphia's Sigma Sound studios, drawing on the Philly Sound with players including Mike Garson, Luther Vandross and David Sanborn. The album delivered Bowie's first U.S. number one single, "Fame," co-written with John Lennon and guitarist Carlos Alomar. This pressing was cut at half speed from 192kHz restored masters of the original Record Plant tapes.
