Little Feat live on their 1973 US tour, caught between Dixie Chicken and Feats Don't Fail Me Now — on 180 gram red vinyl in a gatefold jacket.
Alive in America '73 captures Little Feat performing live during their 1973 tour of the United States. The album showcases the band's energetic blend of rock, blues, funk and New Orleans-inspired music, highlighting their tight musicianship and distinctive groove. It draws on songs from their early albums and gives a strong sense of the band's raw, lively stage presence — a good introduction to the early Little Feat sound and their development into an influential American roots-rock group.
The recording was made between the Dixie Chicken and Feats Don't Fail Me Now albums, with the sextet lineup that had added Kenny Gradney on bass, Paul Barrere on guitar and Sam Clayton on percussion.
