Fudge is Michael Kiwanuka's most free and instinctive album to date — a vibrant, deeply human record shaped by spontaneity, emotion and creative joy. The album was inspired by the encouraging words of the late Chick Corea, whose interview Kiwanuka stumbled upon during the pandemic lockdown, urging him to embrace what he loved without worrying about what others might think. The artwork, created by his friend and visual collaborator Stevie Gee, is a psychedelic cartoon-inspired piece that mirrors the album's warmth and wonder.
