Miles Davis - Kind of Blue (Corrected Speed) - Analogue Productions LP
180-Gram Double LP, Speed-Corrected — 33⅓ RPM (Side 4 at 45 RPM)
Analogue Productions presents the definitive speed-corrected vinyl edition of Miles Davis' Kind of Blue, the top-selling jazz album of all time. The studio's 3-track master recorder was running slowly during the album's first session, leaving "So What," "Freddie Freeloader," and "Blue in Green" a barely perceptible quarter-tone sharp; this pressing corrects that issue on Side 1 while preserving the original speed on Side 3. Cut by Bernie Grundman from the original master tape, it is a five-track masterpiece of melancholy mood and melody from Davis' sextet featuring Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Paul Chambers, Jimmy Cobb, and Wynton Kelly.
