Originally issued on Hut Records in June 2000, Alone With Everybody was Richard Ashcroft's first recordings since the demise of The Verve, the group he founded and led. This reissue replicates the 2000 UK first pressing on audiophile 180g double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. Opening with the string-laden "A Song for the Lovers" — intensely melodic and anthemic — it picked up where The Verve's multi-platinum Urban Hymns left off and raced to No. 1 in early July 2000. Highlights include the brass-blazing "Money to Burn," the ballad "Slow Was My Heart," and "C'mon People (We're Making It Now)."
