Numbered Special Edition Hybrid SACD, sourced from the original analog master tapes and housed in mini-LP-style gatefold packaging.

The chart-topping milestone that broke War through to the mainstream, The World Is a Ghetto lyrically confronts social ills, prejudice and injustice while its fusion-based arrangements blend Latin, Caribbean and American styles into a seamless rhythmic hybrid of R&B, Latin, funk, blues, jazz and gospel. The influential album features the hit title track and the No. 2 smash "The Cisco Kid."

Mastered by engineer Vic Anesini from the original analog master tapes, Mobile Fidelity's numbered-edition hybrid SACD renders everything from the satiny rush of the horns to the depth, solidity and grip of B.B. Dickerson's bass in unmistakable clarity, across a vast soundstage. Plays on both SACD and standard CD players.
