Riki is the Los Angeles-based dark synth-pop project of Niff Nawor, a visual artist and musician with roots in the California Bay Area deathrock and anarcho-punk scenes (formerly of Crimson Scarlet). On her self-titled debut album for Dais Records, Riki explores courage, physicality and romance across eight timeless synth-pop anthems. Produced and engineered by hardware synthesist Matia Simovich of INHALT, it draws on Neue Deutsche Welle, classic Italo disco and new wave touchstones like Pat Benatar, Kate Bush and early Madonna.
