Produced by John Simon at Nashville's Quadrafonic Sound Studios, Jackrabbit Slim put Steve Forbert's husky folk-rock voice over warm country-rock backing and gave him his signature hit — "Romeo's Tune" reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and carried the album to No. 20.

Rolling Tide's reissue is cut from the original master with a modern Ted Jensen remaster at Sterling Sound.
