The Veldt - Afrodisiac - Music On Vinyl LP

The Veldt's 1994 landmark Afrodisiac, on vinyl for the first time as a 2LP 180-gram black edition.

The Veldt formed in 1986 in Raleigh, North Carolina around identical twins Daniel and Danny Chavis, joined by David Burris and Marvin Levi. The group blended ethereal guitar textures with deep R&B roots, and after signing to Capitol Records in 1989 toured the United States with The Jesus and Mary Chain and Cocteau Twins.

Ray Shulman — known for his work with Björk, The Sugarcubes and The Sundays — produced Afrodisiac, a bold fusion of shoegaze, soul and Afro-alternative rock that continues to find new listeners decades on. Stereogum included "Until You're Forever" among the essential tracks of the genre.
