Brian Blade Fellowship is one of the most distinctive and long-running bands in 21st-century jazz. Released in 1998, their Blue Note debut was produced by Daniel Lanois and features guitarist Jeff Parker and pedal steel guitarist Dave Easley. The Fellowship's unique sound threads jazz, folk and gospel together with an uplifting, hymnal quality, moving seamlessly between genres and atmospherics through sophisticated harmonies and meticulous rhythms.
