Formed around the singular talent that was Patti Hamilton, Chicago teen soul trio, The Lovelites, released one album - With Love from The Lovelites - before disbanding. Their sole album, initially a commercial failure, would become a crate digger classic, selling with several-hundred dollar premiums on the second hand market over half a century after it's release. And it's no wonder why - Patti Hamilton's soulful voice sounds wise beyond her years, and the trio's angelic harmonies are backed by a full Chicago brass band.
