Morrissey's debut album Viva Hate was originally released in March 1988, just six months after the final Smiths album. Keeping the jangling guitar sound of his previous band, it became the ultimate platform for his legendary lyrical abilities, yielding classics like "Suedehead," "Everyday Is Like Sunday" and "Margaret on the Guillotine." This 2LP edition was remastered for the first time (supervised by original producer Stephen Street), with new artwork, an introduction by Chrissie Hynde and the rare track "Treat Me Like a Human Being."
