2024 Remaster by Bernie Grundman on 180g Double LP
The 1980 double live album Shadows and Light was Joni Mitchell's second live album and her last release with Asylum Records, recorded in September 1979 at the Santa Barbara Bowl during the Mingus tour. Apart from her classic "Woodstock," the album focused on songs from her most recent albums, like "Amelia," "Dreamland," and "The Dry Cleaner from Des Moines." The vocal group The Persuasions appear on two songs: the title track and a cover of "Why Do Fools Fall in Love."
