1964 was the year the U.S. fell head over heels for The Beatles, with an unprecedented run of chart-topping albums and singles. Rather than replicas of the U.K. releases, these were compiled by Capitol Records and United Artists for U.S. release between January 1964 and March 1965. This 8LP set collects seven of those albums with faithfully replicated artwork and new four-panel inserts featuring essays by American Beatles historian Bruce Spizer. New lacquers were cut by Kevin Reeves at Nashville's East Iris Studios with constant reference to the original first pressings.
