180 Gram 45 RPM 2LP, Old Style Tip-On Gatefold Jacket

Released in 1959, A Dynamic New Sound: Guitar/Organ/Drums was Wes Montgomery's debut for Riverside Records, and he did not tiptoe onto the scene. The thumb-picking touch, the octave runs and the warm, rounded tone that would make him the most influential jazz guitarist of his generation are all here, fully formed. With only guitar, Melvin Rhyne's Hammond B-3 and Paul Parker's drums, the result is lean and soulful, and it effectively set the template for the jazz organ trio.
