Released in September 1987, The Uplift Mofo Party Plan is the only Red Hot Chili Peppers album to feature all four founding members on every track: Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons. Produced by Michael Beinhorn, it blends the band's signature funk rock with reggae and heavy metal influences. It was their first album to reach the Billboard 200, charting at #148, and Flea later called it "the rockingest record" the band ever made.
