Sarah Vaughan - Live At The Laren Jazz Festival - The Lost Recordings LP
$69.99
180g 2LP — Limited Numbered Edition, Remastered from the Original Analogue Tapes
This is the first publication of a previously unreleased concert: on August 5, 1975, Sarah Vaughan was chosen to open the famous Jazz Festival in Laren, a small village near Amsterdam. Backed by Bob Magnusson, Miles Davis's drummer Jimmy Cobb, and longtime pianist Carl Schroeder, the 51-year-old "Divine" uses the full range of her voice — from the roughest lows to scintillating highs — while seeking communion with every listener as if singing for them alone. Part of The Lost Recordings series, remastered from the original analogue tapes.
