Sponge - Planet Girls - RSD LP

Planet Girls serves as the long-lost version of Sponge's 1999 release, New Pop Sunday. After releasing back-to-back gold albums, Rotting Pinata & Wax Ecstatic, Sponge saw a label change during the recording of their 3rd release. During initial recording of the album, Legendary Producer, Kevin Shirley (Journey, Aerosmith, The Black Crowes) was brought in to create a more pop-rock in nature album, which was departure from the grittier sound of their first two albums. The album was eventually shelfed and never released, until now.
