Rock of Ages is the celebrated 1972 live album from The Band, recorded during their New Year's run at New York's Academy of Music in late 1971 and featuring Allen Toussaint's horn arrangements. It peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold. Intended as a farewell before an extended break, it became a last hurrah that closed the first chapter of one of rock's most important groups. Now reissued on 180 gram vinyl in its original gatefold packaging.
