In 1981, the Pretenders followed up their massive eponymous debut with Pretenders II, the last album recorded with the band's original line-up. It continued the tremendous form of their debut, yielding the singles "Talk Of The Town" and "Message Of Love," plus a cover of The Kinks' "I Go To Sleep." The album peaked at #7 in the UK and #10 in the US, earning Silver and Gold certifications respectively.
