Recorded in 1958, Minor Move was tenor saxophonist Tina Brooks' very first session as a leader, though it remained unissued until 1980. Featuring two Brooks originals alongside three standards, it teams the soulful saxophonist with a stellar hard-bop lineup: Lee Morgan on trumpet, Sonny Clark on piano, Doug Watkins on bass and Art Blakey on drums. This Tone Poet reissue is an all-analog, 180-gram audiophile pressing mastered by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI in deluxe gatefold packaging.
