The AT-VM610xMONO is a dedicated mono cartridge from Audio-Technica’s redesigned VMx series, built on the Vertical Dual Magnet design that mirrors the original cutter head’s perpendicular 90° V configuration. For mono playback, the dual magnets are internally connected to reduce record noise and produce a highly focused center sound image that stereo cartridges playing mono records simply can’t provide.

Like its VMx siblings, it uses a paratoroidal generator wound with PCUHD (Pure Copper Ultra High Drawability) copper wire and reduced coil turns for improved transient response. The 0.6 mil conical bonded stylus tracks the center of the record groove for reliable performance and excellent fidelity, mounted on an aluminum pipe cantilever inside a durable, low-resonance polymer housing with threaded inserts for easy two-screw mounting on any half-inch headshell.
