Colosseum are an English jazz-rock band who mix blues, rock and jazz-based improvisation, formed in early 1968 by drummer Jon Hiseman with tenor sax player Dick Heckstall-Smith, the two having met in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Valentyne Suite takes the band out of their bluesy comfort zone into something closer to prog rock, and is generally regarded as their finest album. This is a limited edition of 750 numbered copies on white & pink marble 180-gram audiophile vinyl.
