Enigmatic singer-songwriter Kathy Smith emerged from the same Orange County milieu as Tim Buckley and Jackson Browne, recording two albums for Richie Havens' Stormy Forest label before quietly disappearing. Originally released in 1971, Kathy Smith 2 was her most daring work — an innovative fusion of psychedelic folk and jazz, backed by heavyweight studio musicians including Jan Hammer, Tony Levin, and Jerry Jemmott. Remastered from the original analogue tapes, this edition adds two previously unreleased bonus tracks.
