Miles Davis - Round About Midnight - Japanese Import SACD
$49.99
Japanese Import SACD Hybrid · 2-Disc Set · 7" Cardboard Sleeve
'Round About Midnight was Miles Davis's first album for Columbia and a monument that stands beside Kind of Blue. Opening with the hush of Miles's muted trumpet on Thelonious Monk's title tune, it documents the first great quintet — John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones — at a defining moment in jazz. This Japan-exclusive anniversary edition pairs the original album (Disc One) with bonus live recordings from the 1955 Newport Jazz Festival and a 1956 Pasadena concert (Disc Two), all on a hybrid SACD set in a 7-inch cardboard replica sleeve.
