For its golden anniversary, Impex worked directly with Tom Scholz on what is intended as the definitive edition of the album — mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering and pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing.

The bonus 12" EP introduces a selection of the legendary "lost" demos, restored but left in their original sonic state by Scholz, so the storied early versions can be heard back-to-back with the finished album for the first time.
