Hogwood's landmark Messiah in a hand-numbered, all-analog 3LP Decca Pure Analogue box.

Christopher Hogwood's recording of Handel's Messiah (Foundling Hospital Version, 1754) with the Academy of Ancient Music is widely regarded as one of the finest ever made, and it brings Decca's early-music imprint L'Oiseau-Lyre into the Pure Analogue Series for the first time. It has been remastered and cut from the original stereo master tapes in 100% analogue (AAA) by Emil Berliner Studios. The box reproduces the original artwork and booklet, with analysis by Hogwood and Handel scholar Anthony Hicks, a new note by Richard Bratby including interviews with Dame Emma Kirkby and engineer John Dunkerley, session photos and tape-box facsimiles.
