In 1973, following the success of Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite, Elvis booked sessions close to home at the legendary Stax studio in Memphis. Over two recording sessions that July and December, the King cut many hits, including "It's Midnight" and "Promised Land" (originally written by Chuck Berry). This 2LP compilation collects the best of those sessions, remastered from the original master tapes and rounded out with newly mixed outtakes.
