Olé Coltrane (November 1961) was the final album John Coltrane recorded under contract with Atlantic Records, drawing its flair and texture from Spanish-derived folk forms and a growing interest in African music. The extended title track, driven by two bassists and highlighted by Eric Dolphy's flute, pushed his quartet into adventurous new territory. Celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2026, this Rhino High Fidelity edition is AAA cut from the original analog master tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Optimal.
