The Meters - Fire on the Bayou - Rhino Reserve LP
Rhino Reserve Audiophile Series — 180g Premium-Quality Vinyl, Lacquers Cut from the Original Analog Tapes by Chris Bellman, Pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing
Fire on the Bayou is a staple of New Orleans funk. Originally released in 1975 — the same year The Rolling Stones invited The Meters to open their Tour of the Americas — the album blends blues, dance and funk grooves on classics like the title track, "Mardi Gras Mambo" and "They All Ask'd for You." Honoring the album's 50th anniversary, this Rhino Reserve edition was cut from the original tapes by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering and pressed on 180-gram premium-quality vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing in Oxnard, California.
