Original Jazz Classics celebrates Miles Davis' centennial with Cookin' with the Miles Davis Quintet. Originally released on Prestige in 1957, it is one of four albums drawn from the legendary marathon sessions at Van Gelder Studio, with Davis leading John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones through a set that runs from the hushed "My Funny Valentine" to the hard-swinging "Airegin."

This edition is pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio, housed in a Stoughton tip-on jacket.
