Strict Joy is the 2009 album from The Swell Season, the duo of Glen Hansard (leader of The Frames) and Czech singer-pianist Marketa Irglova. The stars of the film Once, the pair earned two Grammy nominations and an Oscar win for Best Original Song for the hit single "Falling Slowly." The follow-up to their acclaimed self-titled debut, Strict Joy documents a time of great change, tumult and progression across twelve new original songs, with the vinyl edition adding the bonus track "Somebody Good."
