Released in 1970, Psychedelic Shack was The Temptations' twelfth studio album for Motown. All songs were composed by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong and produced by Whitfield, who steered the group away from the classic Motown sound and into psychedelia. The album features Dennis Edwards, Paul Williams, Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin, and Otis Williams, just before that formation of the group broke apart.
