The first disc features his rich, full voice on songs of passion and old-world charm; the second presents the same material as mostly instrumental versions, accompanied by flutes, percussion, violin, soprano sax, and guitars. Simple, earnest, and essential listening for any fan of the Buena Vista Social Club.
