The AT-OC9XEB shares the core engineering of the whole OC9X family: a dual moving coil design with independent coils for the left and right channels, wound from Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting (PCOCC) wire and arranged in a reverse V-shaped formation to minimize stylus pressure and distortion. A neodymium magnet and pure iron yoke increase magnetic energy, and the rigid aluminum body reduces resonance.

As the entry point of the line, the OC9XEB is fitted with a bonded elliptical stylus (0.3 x 0.7 mil) on an aluminum pipe cantilever — the same true moving coil generator as its siblings at the family's friendliest price, with a 0.32 mV output for use with a moving coil phono stage or step-up.
