Audio-Technica's first moving coil cartridge with a Shibata line-contact stylus, built on the long-running AT33 platform.
The AT33Sa pairs the proven AT33-series dual moving coil generator with a nude square-shank Shibata stylus, combining superior high-range performance with strong mid and bass reproduction. The dual moving coil design, wound with PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) wire, delivers excellent channel separation across a wide 15-50,000 Hz frequency response.
A solid tapered boron cantilever keeps moving mass low, while a double damper construction further reduces weight and enhances audio quality. The aluminum and synthetic resin body keeps overall cartridge weight to a tonearm-friendly 6.9 grams.
