The AT81CP is a 0.6 mil conical cartridge from Audio-Technica designed for P-mount (T4P) turntables, a popular replacement for the plug-in cartridges originally fitted to many 1980s automatic and linear-tracking tables. It uses Audio-Technica's dual moving magnet design, with two magnets arranged to match the left and right channels of the stereo record groove, for accurate and detailed audio reproduction.

The bonded round-shank conical diamond is mounted on a carbon-fiber-reinforced ABS cantilever and tracks at a light 1.0-1.5 grams. When the stylus wears out, an ATN81CP replacement stylus drops right in, so the cartridge can stay in service for years.
